Not quite as bad as the other two...maybe, but even so, how could they do this to a formerly immaculate example of one of our classics............

I think this has to get at least an honourable mention...

Yes, the Comet was bad, but then there's this which predated the Nimrod & Comet by a few years (they became operational in 1968).

I have to agree Chris.. that really is bad. At least the AEW3 was streamlined. That thing looks like it's run into something :o

There is of course the full cargo set
Guppy's, Conroy CL-44 and now the Beluga and B-747-LRF or whatever it's called (to carry the 787 bit's arround)
But here's a lesser well known one

Well, not that lesser known Garry.
In a similar vein, and I hope not totally OT, was the Vicker Type 432 high altitude fighter, and a very ungainly looking beast.

Vickers seemed to go through a phase of ungainly aircraft!

Mind you, if anybody has a decent 3-view of the Windsor, I'd have to seriously consider adding it to The List!

Hi Andy
Us oldens will know that Wellington but most here won't have
I don't have 3 views of the Windsor but I can tell you there was an article in Airvraft Illustrated in the early seventies.
In those days they use to do these most months and it contained 3 views by Alfred Granger,
So anyone with those mags should be albe to find it..poss 1971
Unusual beast with a main umdercarruage under each engine  .
Mr. Granger's work was very accurate

I've always found the Windsor a fascinating aircraft, like the MB5 a good idea slightly too late! If anybody has access to the article Garry mentions, I would be very interested in obtaining a scan.
Andy
