Thats sad news about XM603. I visited her everytime I went to Woodford as a child to watch the Airshow. The news is really depressing. :-(

How sad to here of the demise of 603 :-(
It would be nice to see it go elsewhere but a Vulcan is not the sort of thing you can bung in the boot of your car.
I suppose it serves as a reminder not to take anything for granted as nothing is forever

If you click on the last 25 stored still pictures from each cam, she was rolled out between 14:00 and 16:00 from what I can see. :yipeee: :yipeee: :yipeee:

Wow!!!, that 's incredible XH552 is returning the air as well as XH558!?! What a sight a B1 and a B2 in the air together, fantastic. ;-)Chris Trott wrote:...for XH552 to finally return to the skies.
All joking aside XH558s return to the air does appear to be drawing close, which both I and my dad (a former Vulcan AEO) are really excited about. Can’t wait to hear that distinctive roar once again.

As the user name may suggest, I have a certain affection for Avro Vulcans,
Now if only I could persuade my company to allow me down to Bruntingthorpe on business....
Im so glad that this is finally going to happen, and at some point I will see her fly in real life, it would be a dream come true!

Ehh, typo. Dunno why I typed 552... It's fixed now...
Also, over on the WIX forum, there was a post made stating that today's roll-out was for engine runs. They were apparently successful in completing the tasks scheduled, so she's moving towards first flight.

Love the chap holding the bucket in the first clip - I'm sure its is done for a reason, but I kept think "if its going to vomit, that aint big enough"....followed by that "Aahh Condor" moment. The second clip is towing.
Won't be long now then
