Yep the Courtline Beverley, the ex RAE one time G-AOAI

I don't know if they ever used it

BRA Bought a Bristol Freighter 21 (G-AICS) for general use but primarily to transport spare Centaurus engines for the Ambassador fleet.

The advent of wide-bodies saw an end to this as they could be fitted on board any with freight doors.

Some Boeing 747's though continued the practice at first.

Hmm, why do I feel yet another Bev repaint coming on?

Maybe I could re-paint the dreaded 'globe' as an RB-211.......?

I think Rick removed the globe in the upgrade he did

Has anyone have an idea as to why the globe was in there. :dunno:

Seems odd to spend a lot of time making what is a good model just to downgrade it with that gimmick.

I feel there must be a good reason and it is lost on me

Garry,

It's actually still there, just textured 100% transparent so you can't see it. If you set the weather to sunny you can still see its shadow rolling down that ramp, looks slightly odd, but that's life I guess.

I have no idea of its purpose either, a real load would have looked much better.

Now, will it be two shades of orange, two yellows, two pinks or two greens?
