Incidentally.. all the UK Merlins are being maintained (serious stuff) at RNAS Culdrose in Cornwall and from what I gather, this is where most of the maintainance training is done too. See.. the Senior Service isn't quite as obsolete as folk may think ;-)

Na Dave... they're not obsolete... they've just Morphed into the RAF maintainence wing.

Seems to make sense to deep service them there. Seeing as we can blame them for any mistakes!

You have a point there Ben and likewise, so do you Tom My worry is, what's going to happen at Yeovilton :o No SHAR's now and it's a mighty big place to look after a few RN Lynx

Maybe when that horrrible lockheed martin vertical thing comes allong Dave... but I really worry about that, its not half the aircraft that the Harrier was (is)... way too bloody complex with all those engines. :-(

I'd forgotten about that Ben. Yeovilton has a nice long runway too.. useful for those non-VSTOL moments ;-)

I think they'll be somewhat lacking in comparison.

Well.. 4 if you include the APU!!

Not so sure M$ would have been so keen on the 101 had it not been earmarked for 'Presidential Transport' but hey.. let's see what pop's out in the release. I still don't like the R22 in FSX but the B206 has finally matured into a nice bit of kit. Pity they didn't see fit to update the gross panel :roll: If the 101 is close to the 206.. I'll be happy ;-)
