Ahhhhh........Of course it does.....That explains it.....thanks for that, I thought I was going round the bend here...I was getting blinkered in my concentration due to the change in workings from yesterday to today for DXTbmp....which still works as you and others would use...(me too from here on....

)
If I ever get a reply from Mr Wright then I will pass on his comments.....just one of those little computer mysteries...arn't computers wonderful things....
Just do me one favour Garry....as you have DXTbmp there...I know you would not normally do this but could you fire up DXTbmp and select a PSD file and let me know if it is a tiny 125x125 jpeg image that you get...?
Regards.

I did that before as a test and I had a small very blurry image that locked DXT up and I had to use the task manager to end it.
It did not like it at all

Oh...good.....!!!!
(sri) I mean at least it is not just me... :yipeee:
Took your tip and D/L'd the FSRepaint Demo....I can see that this will be a great timesaver...thanks for the tip!! it works a treat...I like the way you can rotate, zoom and adjust the lighting....Alpha channel looks glossy on all planes but a small price to pay as it is the colour details we need to check. Saves firing up FS9 a few hundred times over the weeks ahead...
Thanks for your patience and help this afternoon my good man

You are a gent indeed.
(There's not many of us left....

Well as a footnote.....I have got to grips with the perceived problem that never was.....
All too much in too short a time....I mentioned that I emailed Martin Wright earlier and his reply has arrived this afternoon and I have thanked him for it along with an apology for having troubled him. He really is a tolerant and patient fellow and he understands how I got confused....
It was absolutely nothing to do with Martin's program.....just me having a 'Senior Moment' (s)......
Anyway, glad it's all sorted and I just wanted to make it clear Martins programme was in no way a problem.
Gonna have a new catchphrase I reckon....
'A Little Knowledge is a dangerous thing'.........
Regards and hereby closing this topic......

It's is so easy to get confused with as you say too much at once but it soon gets sorted.
