Had an email or two regarding the article I mentioned above regarding the panel lights working when a battery was connected. Did some digging around and found the mag... :roll: It was 'Aeroplane Monthly' September 1973....which cost would you believe...just 30p..!!! :shock:
Even more revealing was that the aircraft was on it's 1st operational mission and was fresh out of the English Electric factory being only 12 DAYS OLD... :crying: :crying: :crying:
I have scanned out the article which is very interesting, it is a 3 page illustrated PDF file (4.6meg) now so if anyone wants a copy then PM me with an email addy and I will email it over.

Also a story of the crew regarding this crash, five managed to evade capture but the sixth crew member was captured.
