Don't blame me, blame Microsoft, BUT i've been in Alexandria (Egypt) and along the Nile you will see very green places not far from the pics above. Hey, you are brits didn't your ancestors conquered Misr (Egypt) once upon a time just to "protect" the seaway to another conquered distant land as India? :tuttut: :tuttut:

You should have known that Egypt isn't only desert and pyramids or "Sussex"

Really? Well as said, Egypt isn't only desert and pyramids. Along the Nile you will see some "Sussex" landscape when flying from El Khaira (Kairo) to Luxor. Some kilometers with green fields broken by the desert in the distance. My conclusion is that MS did well when generating some places in Egypt (Misr)

I've locked it at 25 fps and in this series it changes between 23-25

I wish I could see that matey. I can lock FSX at 30 and see 30 for the most part on my 'flying' pc. The simple addition of a little autogen lops between 15 and 20fps off that without even blinking :huf: I admit and endorse what others have said that in it's basic form, FSX looks head and shoulders better than FS9 ever did (without the introduction of addon's) but this system just isn't up to it I'm afraid and never will be

The good thing is that my current FS9 looks a lot better (with it's various addon's) than FSX and I don't have to buy a new PC

Imperator, you're right of course; our ancestors subjugated everyone east of Suez and bled them white for our own nefarious ends...though what that has to do with FSX autogen is a bit beyond me.

I've been to the Nile delta too, albeit at sea and foot level. My impression was of an endless cultivated rectangular gridwork, bisected by die-straight roads, and irrigation and drainage canals. That's not what I see in your screen shots. What I see there is an almost random patchwork of irregularly shaped fields, meadows and copses, divided by ancient leafy lanes and meandering country roads. That's definitely Sussex, not Luxor.

I don't condemn your past as i am the new Imperator  I'm very anglophil and love the British achievements in culture, technics, litterature and philosophy. David Hume, John Locke, Stephenson, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Benjamin Disraeli, Gladstone, William Pitt , Wilberforce, Isaac Newton the greatest of all Queens, Elizabeth, Magna Charta, Rick Piper, David Maltby, Genesis...(Peter Gabriel) Led Zeppelin (Jimmy Page, Robert Plant) and many more that the world should be in awe for :yipeee:

But regarding Alexandria (Iskandariya) i recall green fields to my surprise and off course MS have done some repetitive textures and you have probably right

Still, not to bad a representation in fsx:
