Peter, those shots are incredible, is there any frame rate hit with that scenery?

Regards Nigel.

Nigel,

The frame rates are just excellent...I get better performance here than back at base. Naturally, I use Traffic at 100% and Real Weather. I'm delighted with the smooth flying and the clever automatic management of this scenery...I will look at the dusk lighting today for my own amusement but Trev's shots clearly show that this also is outstanding. I believe that this scenery also has full seasons, which is probably a first for this type.

You can probably tell that I am very enthused by this product and I strongly recommend its purchase at what I consider very very good value for money.

Interestingly its area impinges on that used for Holger Sandmann's Columbia River Gorge freeware scenery, but I'm happy to report that the two fit together absolutely seamlessly with no action required by the user.

For anyone wishing to install Holger's fabulous CRG then just look for two files...The exact file names are:-

cr_gorge.zip
gorge_ai.zip

The second file adds very nice floatplanes, hovercraft and jetfoils etc. all with built in spray effects.

Pearson field has been one of my favorite places to take screenshots in FS9 now. There is just something cool about an airfield modeled so well they even included the Dandelions that makes it ideal for pics.

Needless to say, I've been flying between Portland and Tongass/Misty fjords & Glacier Bay v2 alot. For longer flights, I high tail it to Fly Tampa's St. Maarten/St. Barts and VFR-France's Guadalupe' Island. Although my last 'long flight' close to between them, was actually turbo prop ride from St. Maarten to Puerto Rico, then a B-36 flight from Puerto Rico from the former SAC base there all the way to Portland. That was one of those over night auto-pilot trips

I'm hoping when he models Spokane Wshington, he includes the Air Force base there as well, since it is so close to Spokane International (At least I assume that's what the commercial airport is there). Bangor Maine is next though, which should be awesome.

I'm actually surprised at how good FZ2 is, because FZ1 is harder on my frame rates.

Ken, is it easy enough to get the B-36 into Portland ? I've bought the scenery, and the Alphasim B-36 has been on my 'I'll get that next' list for a while.

Thats It!

I can't resist the temptation to buy this any longer, I like the look of the Rhode Island scenery from the same group so thats what I'm going to get.

Thanks for the heads-up about this scenery from all involved, Im off to buy it!
