Sad to hear that Ms Day died, aged 97.
Apparently her big interest has been animal welfare.

Sad indeed, she was quite an entertainer and maintained her "Girl next door" image through out her career. Still 97 is a good innings. RIP Doris!

I can remember seeing Calamity Jane many, many years ago in Norton near Stockton.
