Have you noticed....?

Post by Airspeed »

That the $26,000,000 pa CEOs of multinationals are the ones who tell us that we're part of the global village, so we have to be globally competitive.
So, in an average country where an average loaf of bread costs $5, we are expected to compete with workers earning $3 per month.
It appears to me that not many of those CEOs choose to live in the countries where the wages are a handful of dollars per month.
It also appears that their sales are to countries where they maximise dollars received, then claim that the real transaction happened in a tax haven country, "So we won't be paying any tax to you, young whippersnapper."
Seeing as our governments have also sold everything that used to generate cashflow, to the above operators, I think that I've noticed what the - is wrong with our world.
But maybe I'm wrong :dunno:
Cheers, Mike.

So we are not the only ones being suckered....the politicians also are ....or are they hoping to be employed by the those who suckered them after being voted out? Or making money out of telling everyone how they were suckered in the first place......
If you follow my drift.

We then keep anyone who ventures into public life under a microscope, make sure they are poorly paid and then complain if they gain the slightest benefit from their efforts or make a single mistake. This has the result that anyone with half a brain or the least talent would far rather deploy it elsewhere than on the political stage, leaving it clear for non-entities, halfwits, and those that confuse posturing with achievement and can't tell think through the consequence of policies.

Rant pause for now.... :dunno:

An Australian friend sent me a picture of one of their prominent politicians, in more ways than one, but I daren't post it here.
