Hiya Ro
The rotor animation on the 222 is difficult to describe. It's not the 'blur' you'd expect that is present on say, the Nemeth UH-1.. it's more like a strobe effect.. like a dogs tail wagging against a backlight if that makes sense. I don't fully understand how these things are done but I doubt it could be changed. What you see is probably the rotor going incredibly fast rather than a slow prop animation changing to a fast prop animation at a certain speed. DG is the man to speak to about this sort of technicality

Anyhoo.. the rotor on the 412 is also listed as being animated (by this I presume the blades cone up under power) but it doesn't look odd.. I'm sure because it has 4 blades instead of the 222's 2. I mentioned elsewhere that Area51 have done the same with their Apache 'D' but with much less success. At the end of the day.. the whole 'bendy rotor' thing may look decidedly better on a faster rig but I'm happier with the old fashioned prop blur
BTW.. I found a much better DHFS paint lurking at OzX. It's photo-real and very much looks the part

Off the top of my head, the other UK paint for the 412 is RAF Rescue. However, this is done by the same chap who did the other DHFS paint and you can tell. I've just this second looked at one of the maps in the 412 PK and I get the feeling the DHFS 412 painter may have left the wireframe visible

He's certainly made no effort to change the rivet layer so these show up as silver/grey which doesn't look good against a black background. Sh1t like this is easy to change.. you make a copy of the map layer and either lighten, darken or burn the rivets to take the 'sting' out. I've only looked at one map so far and not tried to paint with it but it doesn't look bad so if there are any other UK paints out there.. I may attempt a couple.. if they're not terribly complicated and involve bendy lines
Back to the 222.. see if you can find any vids on YouTube. Someone, somewhere MUST have made one. Don't let my hang-up with the rotor animation sway you any.. it's probably just personal to me

I can't say it's bad.. more that I'd have preferred a solid prop blur which in my view, looks more realistic
