Thanks for that Brian. Good job my Labrador wasn't there.. she loves raw carrot. In fact she loves everything edible and some things not so edible

My old Lab was the same way Dave, not only did she love carrots (especially the baby variety) but she simply adored bananas. She could be fast asleep in the living room and you could unzip a banana in a different room and she would be there by your side in a split second! We gave her some dried banana out of a bag of `trail mix`(dried fruit and nuts) we were eating once, boy was that a mistake! About two hours afterwards she had a `gas attack`and emptied the room! We all ran outside coughing and gagging! She was fine with fresh banana but dried banana did not agree with her at all.

Our current dog is an English Springer Spaniel and he loves carrots and bananas too but he, like your dog, has a tendency to go after the inedible. We are always having to chase him down to pull socks or tissues out of the back of his throat.
