HMAS Albatross Museum (25 pics)

Post by emfrat »

While I was visiting the grandkids in NSW, I felt duty bound to give them an educational visit to the Oz Fleet Air Arm Museum near Nowra.
These are some snapshots I took, aiming to pick up colours and details. The originals are 4000x3000 px, about 2MB. If any of the forum painters
or developers can use a pic, I would be happy to send the original.

Nice shots Mike  By some small coincidence, our FAA museum also has a Mig (hanging from the ceiling above a Sea Fury) :) Wouldn't like to have to polish that Sycamore

Thanks Mike  ,
Clean machine! Moorabbin's Firefly has folded wings. Sadly their Gannet deteriorated badly in the weather, not enough covered display space.
Glad to see the Grumman Tracker in there, seen at some airshows around Melbourne, and a bit of a favourite with me. Rugged good looks, wonderful wing unfold, and nice growly engines.
Cheers, Mike.

Bl@@dy 'Roos...they get everywhere

I've always like the cute purposeful look of the Tracker in a class where many types at best could be politely called functional
