Enough to put you off flying

Post by calypso »

Complete with a very British commentary. :)

Rather scary though. :worried:

Try watching it at 480p full screen.

Yes indeed. Seen that before John but always pleased to see it again. One for the senior pilots only me thinks ;)

Now to find Bhutan in FSX and see if I can squeeze an ultralight into that spot.
Golly, don't they put you in awe? :welldone:

Blimey, that's an approach and a half. I knew it was a tricky one by reputation, but never realized just how much so. Excellent link.

I can just imagine some of you quietly smiling when you read that I intended to try an ultralight at Paro! I opted for a little more comfort, but of course, a single engined prop aircraft is not a happy chappy at that altitude!

There is some pretty nice FS 9 add-on scenery for Bhutan. I usually go in there with a Dash-7, but have also tried the old Herc, an F-27 and a DC-6B. My success rate is currently up to about 65%, not good enough for insurance purposes! Druk Air started flying jets with the BA146 and moved on to the Air Bus. There are also some clips floating around with a B737 where Boeing competed with the AB. By the way, if you manage to land, ensure you have enough fuel to get out of the country as there is no fuel available!

Hi Hy. :hello:
Thanks for that info. I see that they have now released an FSX version at the same price. Unfortunately, some feedback suggests that important visual cues used by real pilots are missing. Not good for dedicated software.
Cheers, Mike.
