1. Somebody sang "What a difference a day makes".
2. When I was a teenager, my workmates said you can never make up for the one you miss.(so why have a special day?)
3. It's the driving force for all carbon - based life forms. Even religious officials sworn to celibacy obviously seem unable to resist.
4. Judging by the Wiki reference, perhaps "He's just a wa****r" translates as "He's not in the tiny minority"
5. Wonkypedia, on the other hand, defines this as being an expert in putting worms on hooks. (check it at Airspeed's Flying Visit if you don't believe me)
