I wrote and produced Beware The Wild Winds – a radio tribute to the air and ground crew who served with 485 and 486 (NZ) Squadrons at Tangmere between 1942 and 1944 – at the request of an Auckland radio station specifically for a New Zealand audience on this year’s ANZAC Day. It’ll be broadcast by several NZ stations including TRN at various times throughout the day but it is also getting a UK broadcast on my local radio station, Angel Radio.
If anyone is interested in listening, it’s on Angel at 9am on Wednesday 25 April and lasts 40 minutes.
For those in the Havant, Emsworth, Portsmouth and Gosport areas, Angel is on 101.1 FM.
For those further afield in South Hampshire, East Dorset and West Sussex, Angel can be heard on DAB on the South Hants Network.
For anyone else, Angel streams its programmes on the Internet at http://www.angelradio.co.uk. Just click on ‘listen live’ and select the medium – Windows Media Player usually works well. It’s also available on iPhone, iPad etc via ‘TuneIn Radio’ and other apps and also various WiFi radio networks.
I should mention that the Angel Internet stream is not the best quality I’ve ever heard but I hope that won’t spoil your enjoyment and it runs a few minutes behind the FM broadcast so don’t worry if it doesn’t start on the dot of 9am.
I hope some of you will be able to listen.
Pete
