Boat Race

Post by nigelb »

I watched the Oxford-Cambridge boat race and all I can say is I hope they throw the book at the moron who disrupted the race!

And did you see the stupid smile on his face in the pic? What a f%$#@ing idiot! I'm surprised a fan didn't rough up this clown as soon as he swam back to the bank. Judging by how things went after the restart I'd say this bozo completely screwed up the entire race.

While I usually cheer for Cambridge, I have to tip my hat to Oxford for their valient effort in finishing the race after loosing that oar blade. It ws a very exciting race before that complete a**hole pulled his idiotic stunt.

Don't take this the wrong way West Island members but if he wanted to protest against elitism and privilege, why didn't he do it at his own country's boat race in Alice Springs? :)

 A bit of dry humour from our mates across The Ditch:

They raise a lot of money for charity every year, even in 1993 when the race had to be cancelled due to there being water in the river.

The many GPS Regattas are where you find the elitism and privilege:
