That's the same problem we have here Eric. Upstairs, there are 5 bedrooms, a living room, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen, an office and a walk-in wardrobe (let's not forget the walk-in wardrobe)!! Outside, 2 sheds.. 1 of which housed the bike and all it's associated gear.. the other housed the lawnmower. All of these were full of stuff!

Our house in the Midlands has a modest living room, dining room, cubbyhole under the stairs for the hoover, a tiny kitchen, a pantry you couldn't swing a mouse around in and upstairs, 3 bedrooms and a tiny bathroom. On the step (through the back door) is a coalhouse, shed and outside loo which freezes every winter!

Something has had to give

Thank goodness Dad cleared the loft out years ago! We've just had it insulated to the latest standard (2 weeks ago) and it was a crying shame to have to peel half of this back to lay decking but sadly.. there was no other option. I could really do with a lottery win to build an extension
