Seven questions on jet travel

Post by Paul K »

This is on the BBC news web site. Garry needn't bother...he probably set the questions. ;)

I got all seven correct. Gawd I need to get out more, but then I'd probably just go to more aviation museums.

I've no idea where Q3 , or its answer , came from. It was the Gloster E28/39

Incidentally, whilst we're on the subject of engines, with which engine did the Messerschmitt bf109 first fly?

Also known as the Whittle Jet and the Pioneer

E28/39 was it's specification and if often quoted but it was called the Gloster G.40 Pioneer

Straight in from the pub and 7/7. I usually take the weekly BBC quiz and never score more than about half marks. Not sure what that says about me?! :dunno:
