Happy Birthday STEPS and BritishEagle (52)

Post by DaveB »

Now.. we have a conundrum, of sorts. STEPS hasn't visited for a while and is 52yo on this very day.. 14.11.11 and our newest member, BritishEagle is also 52yo on this very day. I've a feeling that STEPS is also BritishEagle. If this is the case, let me know and I'll delete one or t'other account. If not, I apologise :)

Whatever.. I hope you have a good one

 :guinn:

Maybe STEPS and British Eagle are long lost twin brothers, who dont know about each other. So Happy Birthday both...or one, or t'other.

Spookily, I can recall going up some steps to board a British Eagle Britannia in 1965. Coincidence ? I don't think so.

Unfortunately Brian who set that site up had terminal cancer got the caption a bit wrong it was Istanbul not Tehran.
Return was a Trans Globe I think Brit via Colombo Ceylon, Bahrain, Istanbul to Aldergrove.

I would have thought on the CBFS site with two ID's he was a Gemini. But his birthday is wrong so I am Miles out on my deduction. Happy birthday anyway.

Even more oddly enough, mine was in September 1965 as well. Heathrow to Singapore via Bahrain and RAF Gan. It was very possibly aboard Duxford's G-OAVT too.

And rest in peace, your friend.
