Not a repost but that'll be related to the closure of Sheppards I posted back in May - http://www.cbfsim.org/cb-bb/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=21834

£250,000 is a bit shall we say optimistic, take a 0 off the end and it might sell.

Can anyone with an account see what the 5 offers are, or are they private?

If I had the money, I honestly would. Permanent loan to Duxford too.

Darren..

All of the offers appear to have been private. 2 were declined, 2 have expired and 1 is pending. It'll be interesting to see how close to £250k the 'pending' offer is but there's no physical way of telling ;)

How much? Is it me, or is that just ridiculous? That's a way of getting it scrapped, surely. Who on earth could afford that for an airframe in that condition?

Ho hum

Kind regards

As with road vehicles, it never ceases to amuse me how an old, corroded wreck is described as a restorers dream or similar

They do it with houses too.

They take a wreck of a car, replace the chassis, fit new bodywork, new interior, new engine, new wheels. Then put the original badges back on and call it a restoration :)
