Swiss efficiency
Here's a photo I took at ZRH last weekend. They've really optimised the time between successive departures

Re: Swiss efficiency
Surely not a trick of the camera??
Imagine how many we could get into LHR with separation like that

My question is, did you use a tripod for the two shots or did you shoot from the hip.

Just former Swiss Air Force Hunter pilots going for a formation take-off!

Re: Swiss efficiency
No tripod needed, it's just two successive shots stitched together, the join is in the "w" of Germanwings.
Joe - has the EXIF information been preserved even after so many resaves?! Yes it was 17:45ish last Sunday, another few weeks and it'll be dark by 5pm. Unlike the UK, it'll never be getting dark as early as 4pm I don't think.

uh 17:45 and three seconds according to the camera
Using an iso setting of 250 and following the old rule of thumb "f8 and be there"
....the shutter was set at 1/320 for proper exposure,
and the focal length was at 210mm
