I mean "fake" in that William was born in Brooklyn, but in most of his roles, he has a "British" accent. :)

Interesting looking machine. Not what I would call a true helicopter.

It uses rotors for lift so it is a true helicopter *-)

But it has a prop on the back to push it forward and to turn.

Ok

But it's not an aeroplane, it's not an Autogyro/Gyroplane or a combiplane and it's not an ornithopter *-) *-)

Oh and it's not a balloon, blimp or airship

fosho, I'll give you that, The Lynx is everybit a traditional helicopter, And I wholeheartedly commend the Brits for a fine rotorcraft.

You know,.. stating a helicopter would ever achieve 250 mph back in the early days of design would have been cause to be hauled off by the men in white garb.

Getting to the next level in speed using a spiral helix to achieve flight, a traditional design may not be the way to go. Not that ya'll couldn't prove us wrong, but pehaps it's not the best design to use. ... (fuel economy, maintenance .. ect ect
Let me ask this question
Is a plane without surface controls a True plane? and should there be any flap from anybody because it doesn't?

Is my dinner done cooking?,.... I have to go check.

So then I guess we have to remove the Mi-24, Mi-8/18, KA-50, and Mi-28 from the list of "true helicopters" since they use their stub wings for a non-inconsequential amount of their lift?
