Nice pics Rick. I always miss this event and today would have been my last chance - and on my birthday too. Looks like it was a good show and given that I'm only 8 miles away, I know the weather was pretty good too except for the wind!

Hi Rick, apologies for today. It was pouring down here this morning so I didn't chance it.

Nice pics, especially the Bucc

Hi Brian

I did take a lot more Bucc pics but some FW in front with a 4 foot lens on his camera insisted on standing up every time there was a sound
and he ruined a lot of my shots.

the whole reason we sat on the bank was so we didn't need to stand up.
Sadly the guy had his Wife & kids with him so i couldn't just push him down the slope for being a FW :wasntme:

the older i get the shorter my fuse gets :$

Regards
Rick

Hi Garry

only saw one of the 10's close up and looked same as photos on this forum (engines gone)

the other one was way off in the distance near the 747 so never got to see it clearly as there are a few trees down that way and could just see the tailplane and top of the fuselage.

Regards
Rick

Cheers Rick

They were fairly close together so I guess the one you saw is in the strip down area and the other is a hulk pulled out of the way.

Not a place I've ever beed to but maybe one day :)

Hi Garry

I think they moved one out of the way so the New Nimrod had a space near to the hangar area.

but buggers had orange fencing round everything interesting with about a 20 meter boundary so you couldn't get very close.

no idea why i didn't take any pitures of the other stuff :dunno:

Rick

Lot going on Rick especially when yourw doing battle with Mr. 4 footer.

I could never get to the front of the Queens buiding at LHR at times for all the guys there using huge telescopes to read off what was right in front of them

Every time I ever went anywhere I came back wondering why I did't photograph whatever.

A bit like when I flew into Bournemouth I was so pre occupied with the purpose of my visit I forgot to look across and see what was left of European and the CL-44 etc

Got home that night and thought

Makes it more fun I suppose
