It had been said the Nimrods would be covered but I hadn't yet heard by what
Of course this is only a small part of the Nimrod's duties.

Yes indeed.. perhaps the title should have read Hercs to cover Nimrod SAR duties till replacement arrives. Nice to know stricken vessels will have some cover and you can throw an awful lot of liferafts out of a Herc!
