More Slides-Different Subject

Post by Tomliner »

No I haven't exhausted my aircraft pictures, there will be more to come, but as I am scanning chronologically these are the next ones which I thought you might like to see.Normally I wouldn't have posted these,it is only because so many folks viewed the Black5 shots.TBH I feel that I may be misusing this forum.
They were all taken at the Severn Valley Railway in Summer 1984.You can tell that it's summer because of the grey skies!Or is it the steam?Hope you like them.

I think the fireman walking through the steam is the most evocative for me.

This is just the sort of stuff it needs B)smk

Keep 'em commin' :excited:

What would be a tragedy is not giving the many folks here the pleasure of your good work for fear of a percieved abuse of forum....which this is not :)

Might be worth mentioning that there are some poor old sods.............like me.........who has never seen a steam loco :((

Thanks for posting

Brilliant Eric.

Pure nostalgia and a timely reminder of "proper railways"

53 and tough as nails.

he recently had all his guts removed for a cleaning , the old fashioned way on rocks and washboard and dumped in a cold creek for a rinse
-then hung on a clothsline to sun dry . and then all stuff back in him. .....And he never even let out a peep :agree:
