Garry

What happened to G-AYGC? It was over Amsterdam descending in a holding pattern (down to FL250) when dinner called! By the time I had another look, it was not there any more.

And they are stacking up!!!

over Shannon
BAW274 = G-YMMR (B777) now descending over Ireland
BAW284 = G-BNLS (B747)

over IOM
BAW17V = G-YMMS (B777), now descending over Ireland
BAW84 = G-CIVT (B747)

off Cornwall
BAW9120 = G-BNLW (B747)
BAW??? =G-BNLL (B747)

over Liverpool
BAW102 = G-BNWC (B767), now heading South but not descending

over Amsterdam
BAW38 =G-YMMT (B777) 2500 ft - to AMS?
BAW138 = G-CIVY (B747)

over Brittany
BAW194 = G-VIIG (B777)
BAW74 = G-BYGG (B747)

Edited: looks like you are out of luck Ben

HI Ian

Just been looking at those..not sure about G-BYGC

Silly as the ash cloud is too dangerous to fly through so LHR is shut, but it's OK for them to fly raound and round for goodness knows how long *-) :S :doh:

Most of those would long have been on the gropund now, especially today with straight in (non stacking) approaches.

Even more odd is the 777 that was staked over IOM is now decending into Ireland! Qatar airways which has just flown over the house, originally for manchester looks like hes going to Edinburgh

eayJet has an A.319 up flying a sort of test pattern.

Flight is given as Southend to Southend...that in itself sounds odd

I can't imagine what the pax are going through

To have been delayed so long and then finally make it onto a long, long flight across the world just to circle their doorstep and be told they can't go home yet as they are being taken to somewhere else across the water...and for how long?? :wall: :wall:
