And there was even a flight into Manchester this morning at 1100BST!

C-FLEU arrived over Scotland in convoy with 4 other Canadians (B757/A320). They all descended and seemed to go to Prestwick but this one did a couple of holding patterns and then went down the coast at FL100, descended further over Liverpool and then into Manchester.

Maybe he wanted to avoid the queues at Immigration.

I am stuck here for another three days at least, and will probably have to book yet again on Friday. Not best pleased to look up and see a transatlantic departure from Europe fly overhead a few minutes ago. Also having to pay 75 pence for 15 minutes of internet is a real bind too!

Sorry to hear that Trev :((

Oddly enough I was watching all the mainly KLM and DLH flights flying over, some routing over London and was saying it must be hard for those stuck at airports to see them overhead :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

The 3 Canadians I mentioned earlier left Prestwick and flew down the country at various altitudes (not flight levels). I saw C-GTDH over Newark at 5500 ft being directed by FIS "left on to 120", "right on to 140". They all ended up at Luton at about the same time that N721BA took off. That B737 has just motored up the M1 at 3500 ft. I assumed it was going into East Midlands until I looked out and saw it going past.

Strange days!

Ian

Edit: even stranger, two more Canadians heading this way at 2825 ft! The original title of this thread was rather true.

BAW17V and BAW102 both over Belfast at the moment en route to Heathrow (which is shut) I've just heard Newcastle is expecting to recieve several flights diverted from Heathrow, so I'll keep an eye out.

Three J2 G-CELA,R,Z came south over Wales and Devon and an Astraeus went SE across the UK heading toward Calais from the Midlands area.

One SAS LN-RRF came down to Teneriffe from Tilstrup Denmark

So a few UK outbounds and a small number of Overflights still *-)
