BEA Coat of Arms Nameplate

Post by Bridon Bear »

I am going to build a 42" span static model of the DH 89a and want to finish it in the livery of the BEA 'Islander' Class. I need a good image of the Nameplate and Shield and after 'Googling' for hours....nothing clear enough has been found... :dunno:

Here is the type of thing I need (for those who may not know).

Also has anyone got a good image of the Crown and Horn Logo for the fin ?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi Brian..

I have a rather more detailed crown than that but couldn't be sure if it was as represented on aircraft. Re the post horn.. take a look in the Profile series for the Rapide.. I think theres a good one in there :)

Now then...is there anyone here on this Forum of ours who own good Vector software and can turn this into a Clean Vectored Logo without the background of course....?

it would be darn useful to us if some kind soul could do this. :worried:

Hi Brian

Not sure if you ever found the photo you required for this, but I have a close up from the Viscount at Duxford.

Looks to be very similar, so hope it is of help.
