I use numlock OFF and then "0" and "ENTER" on the numeric keyboard.
Have to untick "autorudder" though in the Settings menu.
Otherwise "left" and "right" arrows controls both rudder and ailerons....

I see what you mean, on a laptop, you'd have to associate some other keys ... eg. "left-arrow" and "right-arrow" to the Rudder-Yaw command ... But still need to un-tick the Autorudder.
Laptops being very different, I don't think there is a general rule ....
You'd better think of you own associations...

I find it impossible to fly on the keyboard
On my PC the number key pay you steer but them press the centre button to centre the controls again
Here to kill the turn by turning the opposite way but with lag it becomes impossibly unstable very quickly
I had asssigned keys.they're not for flying just so I can check my animations without having to put it on the memory stick and going into the bedroom and briefly use the PC ech time I want to check something
Frustrating to say the least :@

Is your Joystick not USB Garry? You could plug it in to the laptop if it is.

On my lap top there is a "Fn" key to access the "numeric keyboard" hidden under the UIOJKL and M keys.
So in order to reach an "Num-0" I would have to use "Fn" + "M"
Num-1 would equal FN+J etc. etc.
Maybe your keyboard has a similar functionality?
Regarding "instability" you could try to reduce the sensitiveness just during your testing session...?

HI Dan
It's mainly to check the rudder and nose wheel which I can do on the ground
I don't think reducing sensitivity would help as it take a while to respond to the control inputsas it is
Visually for example it is quickly showing full up elevator but the model takes a long time to pitch up.
This is down to the early FDE rather than keyboard sensitivity which is why I haven't altered it.
