Great Pics. Showed them to a guy who flys out there. He was in 312 that day. He got plenty of photos taken of him in the Mach Loop a few weeks ago in 324 though, so he doesn't feel left out....

Should definitely get down there! The thing about LN is that it's very stop start. You'll get a wave of aircraft, usually around 10-20 going up within a matter of minutes, then absolutely nothing until they come back about 1-2 hours later, unless there are visitors. The busy times certainly make up for the quiet times, though:

Nice shots there Thanks for posting :tab: Are these RAF bases that the Americans rent off well Lakenhealth not Marham as thats operated by RAF GR4's 9 sqn & 13 Sqn I think ?

Any guidlines for parking / viewing?
I used to drive down to Mildenhall and park in the little viewing car park that was provided. I believe this has long since closed and the last time I drove there, I ended up driving straight past without stopping. I couldn't find anywhere to park and had a police car behind me.

All USAF bases in Britain are leased by the United States, rather than owned by them. Hence RAF Lakenheath, not Lakenheath AFB. Similarly... RAF Mildenhall, RAF Molesworth etc.
