well Bought it but i am a little dissapointed really.

External canopy is far too milky rather than reflective.
weapons stay visible when you unload them in the weight & fuel screen.
only about 30% of the switches do anything.
Hud is too feint.
Radar screen is so dark you can't read it.
some of the paints are badly executed (cammo ones do not line up on the leading edges etc)

nice external model though if a little too poly intensive.

If your an F16 nut you will love it.

Regards
Rick

Thanks for the heads up Rick,

I am now in the un-decided camp on this one.

Well, I think so anyway...

I think the reason for this is the fact that every different model file has different flight dynamics (both in the .cfg and .air files), therefore simply removing them from the payload section wouldn't alter all the necessary parameters to get the desired flight characteristics, only weight.

We've seen some far inferior products at similar, or even higher prices. I can't say I've seen any freeware that matches this, so far. You only have to look at the exhaust pipe to just see how much detail has gone into this addon.

And I think we can forgive a tiny text mistake when there's no less than 61 liveries to keep check on! Mathijs Kok has already explicitly stated that V1.0 will not be the final version, as due to the complexity, there was always likely to be errors upon release. I suggest reporting anything that needs fixing (things that are clearly bugs, or perhaps worthy additions to the aircraft), and I'm sure it'll be fixed in the next patch (1.01 has already been released, by the way).

For anyone that hasn't, it might be worth going through a few of the stickies, here: http://www.forum.aerosoft.com/index.php ... wforum=141

still doesn't do anything for me.
sorry
no sale.

more so , OFFTOPIC
I will not pile on a grand worth of addons to a program that cost (now) 50 dollars ( even at full price then fsx was 80 and the accel pack was 30)
that will be unused in a few years (compared to a life time expectancy of the game itself)

nope
I have bought to date 200.00 worth , half of which have all kinds of problems,
so I've jumpped off the sliippery slide of .. I gotta have it,
I'm content with the already learned lesson.

happy flying

That's fair enough, as it's up to you whether you want to fork out for extra addons. I'm certainly not here to convince you otherwise! I'm just saying that, compared to many other companies/addons, the price of this F-16 is more than fair. ;-)

sad thing is if the industry was regulated somewhat
I would have the money for the ones that are worth the price being asked.
