So they bought the hut from the local ATC and found that in the hut? Firstly how did they (the atc) manage to leave it behind? Secondly don't they value that sort of thing? Am I reading that article wrongly?

It's surprising just how many folk don't know the value of things around them.. either financially or historically. If I had an old Link trainer.. I certainly wouldn't have left it in a shed in Edinburgh!! :roll:

Come to think of it, I know the exact shed they are on about. I am more surprised that the Sim has survived, as it is not located in the most salubrious part of the city. All good mind you!

10F ATC Squadron In Luton had a fully serviceable Link as late as 1967 - They even had a working Crab table and
a bunch of parts including the bellows for it. Often wonder what happened to it

Can't remember which one it is, but one of the Commemorative Air Force wings up in the Great Lakes has a fully working Link trainer and instructor's station. I'll see if I can find the pictures again.
