I just thought that the item would be amusing and no religious message was intended.
When I first read about the buzzard, the bee and the bat I recalled an episode during my survival training which concerned the inherent design fault, according to our F/Sgt Instructor, of the common rabbit or coney.
We were told by this gentlemen that rabbits abound throughout Europe so that should we be forced to make an unplanned arrival on the surface the following method was to be adopted to avoid starvation and provide one of the crew with warm headgear.
The signaller would, being forever a hungry sort of chap and mindful of crew welfare, grab his torch, or better still his battery powered signaller's lamp complete with battery pack!! Was our esteemed instructor serious? The crew would await the gloaming and gather at the top of a convenient slope and remain poised until the local bunnies came 'out to play,etc.' The 'diddly-dah' man would then illuminate the scene and the bunnies would remain absolutely still. Biggles and Co. would then advance at speed and send as many as possible to rabbit paradise withe the aid of any blunt instrument to hand. The success, said our instructor, was absolutely guarenteed because rabbits' rear legs are shorter than those at the front, hence this design fault means that rabbits cannot run downhill with tumbling head over a***e. That was the moment tyo strike.
Probably better to try the snare method or to eat the choc bar one had secreted about one's person!!
The hat came of course from the rabbits fur coat.
Glad I never had to try that.
