Leif..

Re the small DV's on the MB Meatbox's..
They are a feature on T7's, T7.5's (MB fall into this) and also NF11's/14's/TT20's. No single seat variant had it as far as I can tell ;-)

I didn't think the T7 had them either Dave...I could be wrong but I'm pretty certain that no T7 that I flew had them :)

Hi Peter :)

I had to go looking but have found quite a few T7 shots.. WA591, WA725, WF787 and all show the small DV. It's only on the LH side so if you find a shot from the right.. you won't see it. There's a shot on the Meteor Flight site showing a different 3 T7's in formation with the lead aircraft inverted (I thought of you when I saw it :) ) and I can see it on at least one of those (the quality of the shot isn't as good as it could be but it's air to air and B&W). The 3 aircraft are all from the Central Flying School :)

Thank you Dave and Peter

I guess it was curiosity as I do not remember seeing it on any Fighter series and I knew that the MB aircraft are very
special mods - in fact truth to tell the only meteor I ever saw fly IN and out of GAC was the MB one with the open rear
cockpit - it made quite a stir

Hi Leif..

It's unimportant for sure but an interesting variation and one that you'll only notice on certain shots. I'd seen it before but hadn't taken any notice of it (it didn't register until you pointed it out) :) A good spot ;-)

Very, very nice :)
Wish I'd gone now :-(
