AIR file help please

Post by David Chester »

Hi guys,

Can you please help me with a problem I am having? :brick: HELP

I have created a nice air file for a twin prop which flies beautifully but when it lands it comes to a stop almost instantly. Ditto if I accelerate down the runway and then cut the power. It is as if the brakes are slightly on all the time or there is a huge amount of friction in the turning wheels.

I seem to remember this was a setting in the .air file but now I need it I can't find any information on it at all!

I don't really want to have to start all over again from a new .air file so your help would be very much appreciated :)

Thanks!

David

My daughters Accent has not moved for a few weeks just tried to move it and the brakes at the rear have binded, now its similar to your problem as it stops before it goes, I have looked in the manual.cfg but I am stuck if anyone knows what the settings are in the cfg let me know..

Hi Tony,

I've not had time for doing my own aircraft lately as "real" work is very busy and I have been enslaved by my publishers Contact Simulations to work on their projects! I am under a non-disclosure agreement so I can't really give too much away about work I do for them until it is announced.

I can tell you that our Hurricane is being reviewed in July's PC Pilot magazine and we are very proud of it :) I should say that I will not be selling any of these myself so hopefully I won't be accused of advertising :worried:

Best wishes

David

If you mean the braking strength parameter it's in the primary aerodynamics section.
