Alpha Tornado released!!!

Post by Trev Clark »

For those who like 'modern' (to me anyway  ) hardware, Dan's new Tornado F Mk 3 is now available for FS9 and FSX.
http://www.alphasim.co.uk/index2.html There is a optional (at extra cost) expansion pack too.

They've got the elevator animation mixed up with the aileron animation! Where are the beta testers? :@ Just kidding of course.

Outside looks superb

shame you have to pay to get slight variant as it makes it far too expensive.

500 units at £20 is better than 200 at £30!

but it looks nice externally

Rick

Not for me; not my type of plane at all. Anyway, I've made a mid-year resolution to be a bit more demanding with payware from now on. The amount I pay is accurate, so the product should be too. :-(

One of my favourite aircraft, so I was quick to pounce.

The model is great (it looks fine to me, so I'd rather not start comparing it to photos, and instead enjoy the damn thing!), although it has a clear tendancy to stall if you try to turn very tightly at all. I've had to reduce the elevator sensitivity so I can actually use the Y axis on my joystick a little more! More fictional engine glow, too. I can't remember ever seeing a Tornado with flames in the engine, when not on afterburner! Still, a simple deletion of the effect from the config.

Apart from those minor niggles, I'm happy with it.

Just my personal opinion but I think Dan and the other folks who worked on her have really done Alphasim proud on this one.

Let the repaints commence!

I'm not a Tornado F.* fan (Prefer the GR's) but from the screenshots I've seen she look not bad at all.

Alas, it will not be the first AS aircraft to suffer this, maybe we are being too heavy handed in our handling? :dunno:
