EARTHQUAKE!!!!
Presently on duty, all of a sudden our building shook badly and there was an almighty rumble, the shaking was terrible, did not know what was happening then it clicked.......Earthquake!!
I don't mind saying that being on the top floor my colleague and I were wetting ourselves, never have I experienced anything like it. Just been reported that the epicentre was in the West Midlands.
Just this minute returned inside and back at our work stations.
I don't mind admitting this but it was scary!!
Nigel.

Re: EARTHQUAKE!!!!
I'm in York and I've never felt anything as strong as that before. My first thought was a gas explosion or even that the house next door was falling down, or a car had crashed into the house. I heard the rumble first before the shaking hit, knocked some dishes off the draining board, the power blipped, a few ornaments on the floor as well. It certainly lasted longer than any quake I've felt before, and certainly was a little bit worrying.

Re: EARTHQUAKE!!!!
Funnily enough I was sat next to an open window and all of the birds started going mental a good minute or two before the rumble arrived and then the shaking. It was rather surreal actually.
