Thanks for that , Fournier. It brings back memories for me, as the leopard moth G-ACMN was the first a/c I ever controlled, in 1961, and there is also a pic of my Falco F8L G-ATAK, but not with me in it

Fascinating stuff. The Reid & Sigrist RS.3 Desford used for aerial mapping looks an interesting craft. With the camera operator in the prone position in the nose I wonder if the idea was derived from the prone position tests carried out with the converted Meteor now at Cosford or vice versa. Probably the two are completely unrelated. :dunno:

It never fails to amaze me just how much history is associated with Coventry.
