Hi-jack it may be, but extremely interesting. I always love hearing inter-service and better still, inter-airforce rivalry. Perhaps we can start a separate thread for it as I bet a lot of our community here have some good stories.

Speaking of which (further hi-jacking the thread), Les Bywaters has put me onto a few good stories from the 'Red Flag' and 'Giant Voice' exercises in the past, does anyone else here have some stories from them? Anything involving practical jokes with picnic blankets visually aiding Vulcan bombing you know is good  !!

I know of a flour bombing of a North US AFB by a Vulcan crew from Goose Bay.

Lovely grub! Good to see one of premier nuclear bombers being put to good use back then.

Hi Johnathan,

We're fairly relaxed about this sort of thing on here. The conversation does still flow, and keeps your thread "up there."

Tis the season to be jolly.

Steve

Drifting on threads is often where the best stuff comes from, often snippits that would be difficult to start a thread with.

As Ben said it was flowing through,

I wouldn't want to see this as a snappy forum like some are.

We have fun here.

Hello Jon

I've been enjoying the Iris FRG2 lately, and have had fun trying to emulate a 'famous' shot available off t'internet.

Just a couple to stats, 190' @300kias UK2000 St Athan scenery.. and 6 attempts  Still think I need to go lower though..
