Re: Back in the VC10
That is interesting, thanks for sharing that Pete! I would have to check the performance manual and see if there were other options for the descent. I guess they had more freedom in speed selection in those days.

Re: Back in the VC10
Looking good! But I was always going to say that of course....
I have just added some interesting documents to my site: https://www.vc10.net/Photos/memorabelia ... Flightplan
You can recreate the final ferry of A4O-AB using these and fly from Muscat to London Heathrow as it did in 1987. Enjoy!

Are these still lying around? I can ask around at work if anyone is interested, as modules like these are sometimes used for testing purposes. It would be better than having them gathering dust I guess.
Send me a DM if you can... I don't visit here all that often I'm afraid.

Is this about the Beverly? News on X showed that they passed the £60,000 mark quite some time ago but the counter on the JustGiving page is showing a lower number: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dougie-kerr

I'm sure a lot of people have seen the very sad news and it certainly will mean something to them. I know I did, I just didn't come here to talk about it.

Re: Museum update
I probably built those same kits... at least the Tempest, Lancaster, Swordfish, Mosquito and Corsair, over 30 years ago. They are currently hiding in a box that has not been opened in ages. I fear that if I do, I will find them in such a state that throwing them away will be the best option... so I ...

Re: In memory of Dave Booker
No problem, I had wanted to photograph that for a while now but somehow always forgot to. I should add that this bench is positioned underneath G-APEP's left wing. You can see it on this photo, to the right of no.1 engine:
