Re: GoFlight Modules Available (Free)

Are these still lying around? I can ask around at work if anyone is interested, as modules like these are sometimes used for testing purposes. It would be better than having them gathering dust I guess.
Send me a DM if you can... I don't visit here all that often I'm afraid.

Re: Missed out, but it wouldn't fit in my museum anyway.

Is this about the Beverly? News on X showed that they passed the £60,000 mark quite some time ago but the counter on the JustGiving page is showing a lower number: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dougie-kerr
Anyway, they are busy taking her apart with some bits already at the Solway Aviation ...

Re: BBMF Spitfire and Sqn Ldr Mark Long

I'm sure a lot of people have seen the very sad news and it certainly will mean something to them. I know I did, I just didn't come here to talk about it.

Re: Museum update

I probably built those same kits... at least the Tempest, Lancaster, Swordfish, Mosquito and Corsair, over 30 years ago. They are currently hiding in a box that has not been opened in ages. I fear that if I do, I will find them in such a state that throwing them away will be the best option... so I ...

Re: In memory of Dave Booker

No problem, I had wanted to photograph that for a while now but somehow always forgot to. I should add that this bench is positioned underneath G-APEP's left wing. You can see it on this photo, to the right of no.1 engine:

Vanguard_bench.jpg
Finally got around to taking this photo two days ago....

What's funny (to me) is that while I never met Dave in person, I did know the other four who are remembered on this bench. I shared 'EP's flight deck with Ron Brant during an engine run (with me only looking on), hitched ...

There's this one of course....

YAM is a great museum, I visited in 2013 but I'm sure it's only improved since! I keep track of WS788's ongoing restoration on UKAR , it's worth a look if you haven't done so already. They have really spruced up that Meteor since the photo above ...

Suits you!

Just be careful with the instrument face, make sure it does not contain any dodgy paint.
