As it's one of the more dangerous airports to fly into (or at least it used to be) I've always flown TAP as they used to offer special training for their pilots to fly there. Having seen the video I think I might switch to EasyJet. Their landings seem a lot smoother.

Re: Found While Trawling :)
Hi Leif,
Don't particularly remember Old Bedford Road, but do remember parties in Upper Wellington Street and out at Totternhoe. Names that come to mind - Annie Roberts, Kathy O'Conner, Ingrid Bachmann, Jenny Dudley, Bruna Greco and the very lovely Jenny Brader, who is on the front of a Monarch ...

Re: Found While Trawling :)
That brings back happy memories. In the mid-70's I shared a house with two senior Monarch stewardesses. Every weekend, if I wasn't doing anything more important, I would get to fly to exotic destinations (Palma, Tenerife), sitting on a jump seat in the cockpit. Coming back I would refill our drinks ...

Re: Manchester Airport 1975 scenery project
Amazing scenery - I've been inspired. Normally I concentrate on AI flightplans for Retro AI and the odd repaint, but I've started on Luton Airport 1973. Don't know how long it's going to take as there's a steep learning curve. I've already got lots of pictures and an Ordnance Survey plan for the ...

Re: Ghana Airways VC10
Unfortunately I'm doing the previous colour scheme, by '79 they had changed to just having a company logo on the engines. Thanks for the suggestions though.

Ghana Airways VC10
Hi,
I'm doing a repaint of the JBS VC10 in Ghana Airways colours to go with AI flightplans from 1972. It's in their old colours with the blue stripe. In the pictures I've found there is some writing or a logo on the engines, but unfortunately none of the pictures is close enough to see what it says ...

Ipswich Airport
Wonderful scenery. The terminal has now been converted into town houses, but, as it's a listed building externally it remains the same. As it happens I've just bought the one on the end next to the control tower. The control tower is still in place, and is used as a bedroom. The viewing platform is ...

I've just been looking through my files and have found a 1-11 500 with a BEA texture listed as coming from JB Simulations. If it's still available it might be a possible alternative to the Dee Waldron model.

I've downloaded these flightplans. They use Dee Waldron's BAC1-11 200 and the other models come from a package called gaukairc.zip. I've downloaded the package but have not had a chance to look at the models yet. Going back to the flightplans, they are using a 24 hour schedule and use 2 Viscount's ...
