With the aid of Tonks today we gave the old girl a brief burst of full throttle and and a roll down the runway at Dunsfold. The initial acceleration was amazing.

Re: F-15 down in Lincolnshire
What I find amazing about these military incidents is that they always come down near houses and a school. If the pilot had been killed he would have been hailed a hero for steering his doomed plane away from said buildings - the press always play it this way.

Roger - If you look carefully you can see the t-tail reflection on the top of the fuse' & the refueling pod is still on the wing. You can also see the heat exchanger inlets at the base of the fin and the wing fence

The number of rehearsals & takes for a couple of people going up some steps, waving & going into the aircraft was unbelievable.

VC10 ZA150 In NatWest Ad
A heavily modified ZA150 appears in the latest NatWest television advert. It was filmed as Dunsfold about 3 weeks ago. It took the film crew about 8 hrs to film less than 10 secs screen time. It makes you wonder why they didn't CGI the whole thing http://homepage.ntlworld.com/paul.robinson16/VC10/Ad...

You also may be interested to learn we replaced the APU earlier this yea. It was delivered to Dunsfold with a known bad unit and we managed to get the last good APU out of BZN. Then by pooling resources with Gary Spoors at Brunty we had the all the tooling to carry out the change.
