Re: Flight Update.

Well folks, About 10 days ago, I put some questions to the MS Flight team, including whether it will be online only, like the latest IL-2, and whether they've put any effort into realistic night skies. All I've had is a note to say "I'm out of the office....." Not exactly inspiring. I have...

Re: Northern Lights

Good oh. Now, I just fixed my document path in AutostarX, and hey presto, we have a very recognizable Orion looking down from about the right spot. Not only that, but I've turned on Planet Labels, which is handy. This is going to make night flying something to see for us VFR bods. Hats off to Chris ...

Re: Northern Lights

Thanks Garry, In FSX I had to wind the clock back one hour to get the moon in its right position, due to daylight saving time. The shape and orientation is as the real one tonight. http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/cc389/Airspeed-pix/For%20CB/ChipmunkfacingNorth.jpg I've communicated with rhose DC...

Re: Northern Lights

Ready for a check, Garry? 22/11/11: "One thing I've not checked is the it should be upside down in the Southern Hemisphere compared to the North" 10:15 Tonight (29/11/11 Australian time, and our 42nd wedding anniversary), the actual moon crescent looks like a "lazy C". How does i...

Re: Mutiple crew experience- Anyone used it?

Personally, never even heard of it, but if it's a free trial, I'd give it a go, unless of course it's mega size and you don't have spare speed or storage space.

Re: Frozen Planet

quote Darren "They know the US won't buy those lies......"

So you'd see a tree looming in your windscreen, and say "It's natural, been there for 200 years."
I think I'd turn the steering wheel or try the brakes.
Read about Easter Island, we never learn. :wall:

Thanks Rob, it's a treat!
Took both FB1 & 4 out for some fresh air, and checked out a passing fleet while I was up, thanks to Sketchy74 and his pals :welldone:

Re: Northern Lights

Hi again Garry, :hello: I'm truly glad your skies are clear, and you can see all that stuff. I'd heard that apart from airborne particles, light pollution takes a heavy toll around Britain these days. I've found a whole discussion in flightsim.com, from which these two are copied, one by a gentleman...

Re: Northern Lights

Thanks for sharing those pix, Garry! Very atmospheric. Regarding the comments about FS9: I feel sorry for you guys in the polluted parts of this beautiful planet! In The Lucky Country our skies are clear enough to actually see the Moon, planets and stars, so we know what they look like. The Moon is ...
