Greets folks :hello:
Just as a follow up to this post I messed around a bit with the Viscount loadout so as to get a more useable freight payload and came up with this
[WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE]
reference_datum_position= 0.000, 0.000, 0.000
empty_weight_CG_position= 0.000, 0.000, 0.000
max_number_of ...

Re: Hercules Paintkit
Greets Dave :hello:
I am still setting up our Canadian Division (remember Viscount post) and have set up the routes using the Mike Stone C130 we have always used. In my usual never ending search for improvements I came across the Alphasim offering. I have to admit it isn't perfect but it is fairly ...

Hercules Paintkit
Greetings fellow simmers :hello:
Would any of you nice folks out there in CBF land be able to point a nice person who looks very much like me in the direction of a paintkit for the Alphasim C130' It seems it was included in the original payware package but does not appear to be available now. have ...

Re: Viscount Freighter
If I'm honest Tony, the bull had a lot to do with choosing that particular little Canadian birdie as a division name. But don't tell the thought police!

Re: Viscount Freighter
Oops!
Hi Garry. It occurs to me that I downloaded the Tyne sounds for the Vanguard but in the end I preferred the Viscount. Vanguard would have been too big and heavy for some of the fields I was going to have it visit. Unfortunately it doesn't change the fact that I found the Tyne sounds a bit ...

Re: Viscount Freighter
Hi Garry
Had a look at your ABC textures. I see what you mean about the double doors for'd. I think I will allow myself a little artistic licence and stick with my design. Means I can have cargo handlers grafting at both ends. Less time on the ground. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Re: Viscount Freighter
Greetings again
Well Dave tried your solution and it appears to work fine, allows me a usable payload as far as I can ascertain.
Took it on a short haul from Norman Wells CYVQ to Deline CYWJ, visual approach, gravel runway, 130 knots, anchors out etc. and nothing unexpected happened. So there ...

Re: Viscount Freighter
Hi and thanks for replying Dave
Have to admit I was kind of thinking along these lines myself. I might be over simplifying but I thought it might be possible to somehow group the existing 'station loads' in such a way so as to be left with fewer along the length of the aircraft. The end result ...

Viscount Freighter
Greetings folks
I am introducing a couple of Rick Piper's Viscount 800's to my VA ostensibly as 815 palletised freighters hauling mixed cargo around the western half of Canada. My query is, does there exist a freight loadout section to replace the pax loadout included in the aircraft.cfg?
Rick if ...
