Concorde Engine Starting

Dave

I have been flying the Concorde (www.freewebs.com/fsxaddons Model By: Razgriz_10000 "Eric Buchmann") and just as it says on the tin, the engines are not running when the aircraft is initially selected. It looks and sounds like they are but they don't respond. However, if you do what the author ...

Strange boxes on the outside world visuals

Dave

I have noticed on some models (or maybe it is just at some times on my computer) I get strange white boxes streaming off the wingtips or black boxes round the sun. I also sometimes get areas of the outside world which are not being computed.

Is this just a function of graphics speed and ...

Re: Vickers Vanguard Autopilot

Thanks Dave, I had missed the Autopilot Master Switch!

I was using the CBFS Vanguard. I downloaded Pack 1 and the Panel. I take it Packs 2 and 3 are just more paint jobs?

Both Flight Systems (952 and 951) are now working perfectly (an ILS on each at Prestwick).

The Smiths flight system IS a dog's ...

Vickers Vanguard Autopilot

Dave

Thanks for the help on the previous issues.

I have downloaded the Vanguard into FSX and retained a 952 and a 953. I have tried to do what you say with the FSX Panels.

A few problems.

1. When I select Change Aircraft, although Vickers comes up as an option and the Vanguard is the only ...

Re: Calling up the GPS map

Dave, tell me about the "ident=" settings; what are they for and how do I ensure they are correct.

Re: Calling up the GPS map

Brilliant Dave :)

I now used "Simicons" with my place settings instead of "Simicons 1024" and the panel comes up nicely; thanks. Why does the omission of 1024 make the difference?

By the way, I didn't know about SHIFT 1, 2 etc: that worked also but the screen got a bit confused after I got to ...

Re: Calling up the GPS map

I think I tried it all ways Dave. I tried using the GPS simicon from the FSX Airbus 321 and I also tried using one from 2002/4 models which work fine.

The FSX button still seems be designed to call up the FS9 GPS.

Re: Calling up the GPS map

Dave

as you know I have FSX.

I used the AVRO Vulcan (B.Mk2 / B.Mk2A) by Kazunori Ito (designed for FS 2002/2004) and modified it with the Panel Download 558 on your website.

I had to add a lot of gauges, radios and an autopilot and I now have an aircraft which flies quite well and will perform ...

Re: Calling up the GPS map

Further info

When I select GPS the main panel disappears and the outside view goes to the view where you normally see the 4 basic instruments at the bottom of the screen.
