Have tried the modified .cfg & .air files for SP2 with the realism settings at easy & its back to its 'Rocket Ship' state.......still with no RPM etc. So it seems the best compromise for non ACC users is to go Medium for Realism & use the Acceleration .cfg & .air files!

Re: FSX Meteor F8 released
Having reloaded the F8 & turned the Control Realism down to half (from Max), I can confirm a better set of figures nearer the mark, although I will have to try again & recalibrate my throttle on my joystick as I can only go between 24% & 76% using the stick throttle, which gives about 24...

Re: FSX Meteor F8 released
Unfortunately Rob, the alternative .cfg & .air file do not correct things adequately when flying with SP2, the RPMs still do not work, the Slip gauge is permanently hard left, although the JPT now works. Comparing the ground speed (shift+Z) with the ASI it seems now in scale but the Machmeter is...

Re: Jetstream WIP shots
My couple of flights were in a West Freugh Jetstream - b***dy noisy in the climb with supersonic prop tips ( about 100 rpm less would have been a lot better), on the let down with the prop settings less it was nice. Astazous of course. Sitting in the back I got a lot of burnt kerosene smell, probabl...

Is that a function of the contact point dimensions?

Re: Auster FSX Shot
100Mbps ? If so you are very lucky, I've just tested mine 1700 hrs local, to Paris & am getting 0.67Mbps download & .27Mbps upload. Admittedly when downloading in the morning I can & have seen 1.25Mbps. Are you sure that your quoted speed is not just your LAN connection, i.e. Your ethern...

Re: Auster FSX Shot
I do not think it is necessarily the users link speed, but somewhere in the chain it seems to have a restriction. I find it best to download from the Pond in the morning from France, i.e. when most of the US of A are asleep for some reason!

Re: Percival Proctor Fs9/FSX
I would hazard a guess that the long (relatively) load time is because there are a whole load of polys as well as all those animations I put in! In fact I had to 'fiddle' some bits because I seemed to have come up against the '65K' limit in Gmax/export. It could also depend on ones quality of comput...
