It causes a HUGE hit in fps so it was disabled when FSX was released. As the post above shows, it is possibe to re-enable it easily, but beware the frame rate hit when and if you do.

I always used to start from cold and dark and there are definitely settings you need to change there to get the plane up and running. Not sure if starting with engines running and VE selected will help though. Even with the VE there is a fuel valve that needs shutting after an hour's flight or so as...

Trouble is, a lot of the later real life Guppy liveries were applied to the turboprop version rather than the Wasp engined version. I've not seen any myself on my travels.
