Nigel - I have just been out in the garden ... and I saw a bluish white flash!

It came from the direction of the A31 Ringwood road and the answer came to me (get ready - pun intended!) in a FLASH!

SPEED CAMERAS on a nearby road!

Or of course, it could be aliens :prayer:

As an expat Yorkshireman (been down south for 25 years!), I feel so proud! Must show the present Mrs. Simtrac (poor girl, she's from Pompey!)

I saw it only on Friday as part of a diorama at Bournemouth airport museum. Very nicely made (as are many of the models in their displays), but I did wonder that it looked on the small side against the vehicles and aircraft - but not overly obviously out of scale. By the way - if any forum members a...

I believe they do. I have seen things like the village pub (?) and Oakham station under Dapol. The only thing Dapol didn't acquire was the Airfix control tower which was still in production when they ceased trading.

There was an Airfix Anne Boleyn ? Sorry. Got carried away with my 'promotion' Yes there was. And a Henry VIII. And a Queen Elizabeth I among others - part of the 'Historical Figures' series. There were also odd things like garden birds and a boy at school told me he'd built an Airfix model of...

Well, it has been a few years since I dabbled with the plastic, but I don't remember Revell as being quite that bad. No, no - I quite agree with you. Don't get me wrong - Revell Germany do produce top notch kits these days. I made their 1/144 Hunter last year, and it is really nice for such a small...

A far better standard than I have ever produced which is why I've never put any of mine up. Nice shot!

Actually as I wrote the word Corgi I felt uneasy ... And back to Airfix - there is of course a dark side - they will never be as predominant ever again and there are a lot of kits that will just become extinct. Items like the 1/12 Coldstream Guardsman - while Humbrol had them, there was probably may...

Whoever acquires Airfix has to recognise that it has had its day as a highstreet product - if they try to market it as such now the same thing will happen. For example - you still find Airfix kits in certain outlets such as Toys R Us, newsagents and chain stores - to my mind that is just a waste of ...
