Re: Problems installing Dave G's Rapide into FS9

Hi Dave

Thanks Dave - now why didn't I think of that? :dunno: It's sorted and I'm flying again.

Thanks Jon for suggestion but I had got right one. ALways worth checking the obvious though.
Cheers

Problems installing Dave G's Rapide into FS9

Hi All Following a hard drive failure, I'm having to re-install all my FS9 aircraft. I've downloaded the Rapide pack from the pond but having extracted the files as usual, and hit the auto-installer, I get the 'run' dialogue box and QSetup extract files and then nothing else. Can Dave or any one els...

Forthcoming on TV

Hi All Don't know if posted elsewhere but stumbled across on BBC4 tonight 'The secret life of airports' part 2/3. Interesting social history with archive footage of ambassadors, viscounts, vanguards, vc10s etc etc. Even saw Bristol Freighter coming in to land at Gatwick in one shot. Make sure you ca...

Re: Jersey, Guernsey...Is it possible???

Finally took the plunge, downloaded and when I start tileproxy, final DOS message is "Tileproxy is ready to fly" but nothing then downloads when I fire up FS9. Think I've followed the directions to the letter from the site mentioned by other Chris H above- any clues anyone? Have turned UAC...

Re: Full Motion 6-Axis Simulators on South Coast

Hi Mike

The Outlaws live in Poole so if we are visiting for the day, I might just have to sneak away if the opportunity arises. I'll let you know.

PAD Shorts 360

Downloaded too & quick hop from Guernsey to Jersey (having done it in the real thing). Flew quite nicely although while testing autopilot it ceased working halfway over. Have to agree with Ben that some aspects of the FD seem a bit too responsive and ground handling is interesting again, ...

Re: Jersey, Guernsey...Is it possible???

Chris Ok, thanks for advice (again :) ). Will keep that in mind when I take the plunge in 2009. Had a quick jaunt in the C130 (when the wife was watching her Christmas DvD Mamma Mia) - and as you say can't complain for 9.99 especially given full price was in the 80s somewhere. Manual takes some read...

Re: Jersey, Guernsey...Is it possible???

Chris, Thanks for reply & HU on the other site. I will make it a New Year's resolution to take the plunge & try it with FS9. I might be tempted to wait to try the earth simulations for FSX. I still fly in both, though mainly FS9 currently due to number of add ons. However, did download the H...

Re: Jersey, Guernsey...Is it possible???

Hi all
Thanks for HU, was unaware such programmes existed.I found tile proxy at sourceforge .net (latest beta 8 released 28/10) but says operating system is XP - will it work on Vista?

Being a Guernseyman would love to see detail - might even spot my Mum's house!!!!!
Cheers
